A disciple in this context is someone who has received the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ,
believe it and live it. A disciple must be like newborn babies who are thirsty for the pure
spiritual milk that will help him grow and be saved, he constantly feed on the word of God
from infant to maturity. A disciple doesn't have a life or will of his own, he is alive in Jesus
Christ. A disciple dies daily through self-denial and acts on the manufacture manual.
The conversation of a disciple is not corrupt...
Either you are with your colleague, church member, at home or wherever you find yourself
don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything, you say be good and helpful, so that your
words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. As a disciple be an example to all
believers in what you say, be Christ conscious in your conversation.
Gossip is no good! It causes hard feelings and comes between friends. As a disciple don't
entertain gossip, it betrays confidence, don't give room for it, take a firm stand against it in
all you do.
The conversation of a disciple is seasoned with salt
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how
to answer everyone. A disciple is the salt for everyone on earth even in communication; it's
what you are expected to reflect always. When you cast out your salt through conversation
as a disciple, there should be healing, your word should fix and bless lives. You must always
salt your conversation as a disciple (Put salt on every grain offering, because salt represents
the covenant between you and God).
DON'T LOSE YOUR SALT
Now that you have tasted that the Lord is good, don't lose your salt? “Salt is good for
seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again?
Checklist your conversation
Is it salted?
Is it Christ centered?
Does this conversation glorified God?
If not, run away from such conversations.
Shalom............
